Profile: Prof. Alexey

I am a USask professor of mathematics, a scientist doing research in applied math, working with physical systems and applications ranging from novel materials and complex flows to modern computer solvers and numerical simulations of chaotic dynamics in biology. I love science and enjoy being able to share the ever-growing knowledge about our beautiful world through many venues, including University teaching and school-level instruction through science masterclasses, science fairs, and game events. With my wife Anna who teaches Math to virtually anyone (see www.discoverymath.ca), we have homeschooled two kids from K to grades 8 and 9, and are active in homeschooling-related and general math and science education activities.
