Welcome to Homeschooling Science with Prof. Alexey!

These are the courses I always wanted to create, as a scientist and a homeschool parent. They convey my passion for studying the beauty of our world, and contain everything needed for a rigorous yet easy to do year of homeschooling science.

For an example of a lesson, see Lesson 1 of Module 1 for Grade 4-6 stream here

Some essential features include:

  • Stream 1: Grades 4-6
  • Stream 2: Grades 7-9
  • Four 5-week, 15-class modules for each of the Streams, leading to a fully covered year of science.
  • Lessons include short videos and a full printable class material package: reading, scientific journal, experiments, and problems.
  • Parents are welcome to participate, but the courses are created to be taken by students largely independently, with minimal parental help.
  • Topics are fully mapped to all Western Canadian provincial curricula.
  • A certificate of completion for each module may be used as a part of annual homeschooling portfolio.
